Funding

Funding fees are periodic fees charged on open positions.

On Crypta, a funding fee is charged every 60 seconds that a position remains open. Funding is calculated based on the margin used by the position rather than its total notional value.

The funding fee for each 60-second interval is:

fee=rate∗margin  usedfee = rate * margin\;used

Funding rates are dynamic and are based on the market's aggregate long or short exposure relative to the bankroll.

As directional exposure increases, funding becomes more expensive for positions adding to the larger side of the market and cheaper for positions on the opposite side.
